Just a one-day ride. My batch mate Benet from MFA course, told me of this nice little simple joint where, they serve the freshest of Fish, along with the traditional Kerala” Meals” (Rice with vegetables)
On the way we were to meet another batch mate and good friend of ours Biju at Karakonam , , we must have rode for about for about 45 mins where we took a break .
The slowly light showers started and the clouds changed and we had to wait out the rain ,
It was close to noon when we met up Biju and soon we 3 were on the road again, when the rain poured down we’d stop and wait it out, we had a lot of catching up to do and well you put 3 photography buffs for some time, the conversation revolves around clicking pictures, framing shots and travelling. We didn’t plan to visit the Dam though our next stop was definitely to fill our bellies with some local country cuisine!

At the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu
On reaching the place we were told that food will be only ready in about an hours’ time. So we went about taking some more shots and just exploring the country side.
In memory of fine art photography from SALA 😛 😀 , Trying out a black & white shot also

Lunch Time at Hotel Akshayapatram
Hot steaming Rice and Kappa ( Tapioca /cassava root)
In comes the savories, curries ( gravy) , fried fish and the side dishes
Bon appetite Fellas !!
After a heavy fulfilling lunch we were too tired to do much riding 🙂 , hung about talking and occasionally snapping pictures – it started to drizzle a bit was a nice serene atmosphere
Pretty traditional ! Rice cooking in a pot on firewood
The Main Chef!! – I forget her real name but very fondly known as AMACHI (Respectfully – mother in local dialect :))
Heading back after wonderful lunch and good times with good friends,
